Job Title: Account Development Executive - Field Sales (NY)Job Description
This field-based role focuses on recruiting local businesses into a new delivery partner program across targeted towns in New York. You will visit prospective businesses, present the program, qualify leads, guide applicants through the enrollment process, and help drive growth through community partnerships and events. The position combines outside sales, customer service, and light administrative work using CRM tools, with frequent regional travel and an uncapped commission structure.
Responsibilities
Visit prospective local businesses door to door in targeted towns within approximately a two-hour driving distance.
Present and pitch the new delivery partner program to prospective businesses in a clear, compelling, and professional manner.
Generate interest and encourage qualified businesses to apply to the program.
Qualify prospective businesses based on program criteria and guide them step by step through the application process.
Lead and track prospecting and follow-up activity in Salesforce, maintaining an accurate and up-to-date pipeline.
Import Excel spreadsheets into Salesforce on a weekly basis to ensure data is current and organized.
Support the Field Manager in planning and hosting recruitment events in the community, such as lunch-and-learns and town hall meetings.
Collaborate with the Field Manager to engage local influencers and organizations, including chambers of commerce and economic development associations, to drive referrals and program awareness.
Provide exceptional customer service to prospective partners, answering questions and resolving issues that arise during the application and onboarding process.
Demonstrate professionalism, urgency, and attention to detail while working independently in the field.
Travel daily within the assigned territory, managing your schedule to maximize outreach, meetings, and conversion of new partners.
Essential Skills
1-2+ years of experience in sales and/or customer service.
Proven outside or field sales experience.
CRM experience, with Salesforce strongly preferred.
Strong customer service and communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
Ability to manage and track a sales pipeline using technology and multiple systems.
Ability to travel up to approximately four hours round trip on a daily basis.
High level of professionalism, reliability, and urgency in a field-based role.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience in roles involving sales and/or negotiation with customers is a plus.
Experience in field sales is a strong advantage.
Demonstrated enthusiasm for working with others and building relationships in the community.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, especially when supporting applicants in the field.
Tech-savvy mindset with comfort using multiple systems, spreadsheets, and mobile tools.
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while coordinating closely with a Field Manager and broader team.
Work Environment
This is a predominantly field-based position with extensive local travel across New York, with candidates ideally residing near towns such as Oneonta, Hudson, Rhinebeck, Staatsburg, Groton, Cobleskill, or Greenville. You will be on the road 4-5 days per week visiting businesses and attending community events, and you will work from home for the remainder of the time to manage follow-ups, CRM updates, and planning. The role relies heavily on Salesforce and Excel for tracking and reporting, and you will use your own phone and vehicle, with mileage and phone expenses reimbursed. The environment is fast-paced and performance-driven, with uncapped commission opportunities per partner application, readiness to launch, and successful launch milestones, as well as eligibility for paid time off after a successful performance review period. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.50/hr.
