Summary The Department of Veterans Affairs, Indianapolis VA Medical Center, is seeking a motivated individual to join the team as an Advanced Medical Support Assistant (MSA). This position provides medical support responsibilities associated with the Community Care program and is responsible for coordinating medical care for patients receiving treatment outside of the Indianapolis VA Medical Center. Incumbent must have knowledge of clinic procedures and regulations; basic medical terminology, skill in operating computer systems and applications, such as VistA, CPRS, CTM, PPMS, HSRM, and Microsoft applications i. Maintains appointment schedules for all Community Care. j. Obtains medical documentation from Community providers, scans to appropriate consult within CPRS and view alerts the VA providers for continuity of care. k.
