Job Title: Electrical Assembler
Job Description
This role focuses on performing electrical assembly for generator packages, switchgear, and control panels in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment. You will work with a variety of hand and power tools, read and interpret work instructions and standard operating procedures, and carry out point-to-point wiring and terminations. Over time, you will learn manufacturer-specific software to help diagnose engine and control system issues, supporting the reliable operation of complex electrical equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform electrical assembly on generator packages, switchgear, and control panels according to established standards and procedures.
Carry out point-to-point wiring and terminate electrical connections accurately and safely.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, including wire strippers, multimeters, and wire crimpers, to complete assembly and testing tasks.
Read and interpret work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure correct assembly and wiring practices.
Conduct continuity testing using a multimeter to verify proper wiring and electrical connections.
Assist in wiring control panels, PLCs, relays, generators, and switchgear as needed.
Learn and use manufacturer-specific software to diagnose engine and control system problems.
Follow all safety guidelines and quality standards while working in the manufacturing environment.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve wiring or assembly issues and maintain production schedules.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of experience performing point-to-point wiring in an electrical assembly or similar environment.
At least 1 year of experience performing continuity testing using a multimeter.
Proficiency using hand and power tools commonly used in electrical assembly, including wire strippers and crimpers.
Ability to strip wire accurately and safely for terminations and connections.
Ability to read and follow work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Basic understanding of electrical wiring practices and safety.
Attention to detail and ability to perform precise, high-quality wiring work.
Ability to work effectively on a production floor and meet deadlines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with control panel wiring.
Ability to read and work from electrical schematics.
Experience wiring PLCs and relays.
Experience wiring generators or switchgear.
Interest in learning and using manufacturer-specific diagnostic software for engines and control systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to troubleshoot wiring and assembly issues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing setting.

Work Environment
The role is based in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment designed to support comfort and consistent production quality. You will regularly work with electrical hand and power tools, including wire strippers, multimeters, and wire crimpers, around generators, switchgear, and control panels. The position follows a structured shift schedule, with available shifts including 1st shift from 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM and 2nd shift from 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and adherence to established procedures while supporting hands-on, technical work with modern equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
