About This Role
We believe people should love what they do - in this role, you will be responsible for:
The Senior Manager, Manufacturing provides leadership and direction to a team of exempt Production Supervisors. This role oversees the execution of manufacturing operations across multiple work centers and shifts, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and supports talent development to ensure operational excellence and organizational growth.
Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership & People Management & Development
Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for all manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable production that meets or exceeds quality, cost, and delivery targets.
Manage complex operations across multiple shifts and stations; balances labor, material, and tooling challenges; resolves cross-functional disruptions; ensures program milestone achievement through prioritization and sequencing.
Lead and develop a team of production supervisors and hourly employees by building a high-performance culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and engagement, while developing supervisors and team leads through coaching, mentoring, effective delegation, and consistent feedback to strengthen the leadership pipeline.
Safety & Compliance & Continuous Improvement & Lean Initiatives
Champion a proactive safety culture by ensuring all processes, equipment, and personnel comply with OSHA requirements, company policies, and program standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving to improve efficiency, reduce waste, optimize workflows, enhance product quality, achieve cost and schedule savings, pilot and integrate new technologies or processes, and promote a culture of safety, quality, and innovation that advances organizational maturity.
Quality Management & Cross -Functional Collaboration
Partner with Quality to ensure products are manufactured to specification, root-cause issues are resolved quickly, and corrective/preventive actions are sustained.
Work closely with Engineering, Planning, Maintenance, Quality, and Finance to align operational priorities and support program fulfillment, process changes, and business objectives.
Leads cross-functional status meetings; escalates issues to functional leaders for timely resolution; and drives operational performance to meet line-move and milestone deadlines.
Performance Management & Metrics
Own key manufacturing KPIs (yield, throughput, labor cost, efficiency, downtime, etc.). Analyze performance trends and implement data-driven action plans.
Leads efforts to improve KPI development and fidelity.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree required in Business, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering or related field.
Experience
8-12 years of progressive experience in manufacturing or operations leadership. 4 years of supervisory experience preferred.
Demonstrated success improving safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production workflows.
Proficiency with Lean, Six Sigma, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems, production scheduling, and operational KPI management.
Solid understanding of quality management systems (QMS), MIL-STD specifications and ISO 9001compliance requirements.
Leadership, Behavioral, and Operational Competencies
Proven ability to build, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
Data-driven decision maker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Demonstrated leadership in driving cultural change, employee engagement, and process discipline.
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and manage competing operational demands.
Strong communication skills-written, verbal, and presentation- to effectively convey information to diverse audiences, across all levels of the organization.
Experience with capacity planning, labor optimization, equipment utilization, and production line balancing.
Demonstrated analytical abilities, including budgeting, developing project estimates, and tracking actual performance (i.e. labor hours and schedule).
Ability to lead complex cross-functional projects, including updating technology introductions and capital initiatives.
Track record of delivering measurable improvements in first pass yield, cost per unit, throughput, and waste reduction.

Must demonstrate tact and strong interpersonal skills to effectively address and resolve internal and external conflicts.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Dexterity : Must have a good dexterity and frequently use one and two hands throughout the work period for hand tools and handling materials.
Cardiorespiratory Demand : Must have enough cardiorespiratory fitness to be able to perform medium work involving constant standing and walking, material handling and performing work in a hot, humid environment.
General Physical Activities : Include standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, body twisting, sense of touch, manual dexterity, speaking clearly, seeing distant/reading, reaching, hearing, depth perception, color vision, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, climbing stairs and balancing.
Physical Demand Level - Medium : Must be able to perform medium physical labor as classified by the United States Department of Labor. Physical demands typically involve lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling not to exceed 60 lbs.
