Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a manufacturing engineer for our Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri location. As a member of our multi-disciplined team, this role directly supports the installation of capability upgrades on the B-2 Stealth Bomber fleet.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for aircraft modifications and subcomponent fabrication and assembly
· Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling
· Provides guidance to vehicle engineering regarding aircraft modifications and subassembly design concepts, specification requirements, and installation constraints
· Adapts machine, tooling, or equipment design to optimize efficiency and integrate with existing operations
· Incorporates inspection and test requirements into aircraft modification plans and subcomponent production plans
· Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency; investigates problems and deficiencies and initiates corrective action to ensure product quality
· Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques
· Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations
Basic Qualifications for the Manufacturing Engineer (Level 2):
· Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in a related STEM field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience; OR a Master's Degree with 0 years of relevant work experience; OR a PhD with 0 years of relevant work experience
· Alibility to understand and effectively communicate technical issues (written and verbal)
· Experience with the design, build, operation or maintenance of structural, mechanical, and/or electrical components or assemblies
· Experience with computer aided design / modeling tools
· Experience in researching technical issues through engineering drawing review, database records queries, and theory of operation
· Ability create work instructions
· Ability to obtain/maintain U.S Government Secret security clearance. Candidate must have an active DOD Secret security clearance or meet the eligibility requirements for a clearance to be hired. The company will submit a clearance request for the selected candidate. The employee must be granted applicable security clearances in a reasonable time to continue employment.

· Bachelor's Degree in a related STEM field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; OR a Master's Degree with 3 of more years of relevant work experience; OR a PhD with a minimum of 1 year(s) of relevant work experience
· Alibility to understand and effectively communicate technical issues (written and verbal)
· Experience with the design, build, operation or maintenance of structural, mechanical, and/or electrical components or assemblies
· Experience with computer aided design / modeling tools
· Experience in researching technical issues through engineering drawing review, database records queries, and theory of operation

Preferred Qualifications (Both Levels):

Primary Level Salary Range: $75,100.00 - $112,700.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $93,300.00 - $139,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
