Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
This role supports a busy commercial insulation distribution warehouse by safely loading and unloading customer orders, handling materials, and providing excellent customer service. You will work in a clean, organized environment, receive training on sit-down forklifts, and play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely movement of products in and out of the facility.
Responsibilities
Load and unload customer orders from trucks and trailers using manual methods and sit-down forklifts.
Check incoming and outgoing pallets for accuracy, including verifying parts, items pulled, and quantities.
Document materials shipped, received, and pulled to maintain accurate records of pallet contents and order details.
Handle materials safely and efficiently, including lifting and moving items weighing 50 pounds or more.
Support shipping and receiving activities by staging, organizing, and moving products as needed.
Assist with order pulling to ensure customers receive the correct products and quantities.
Provide customer-focused service in the warehouse, maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times.
Work collaboratively with a small warehouse team to keep the facility clean, organized, and operating smoothly.
Follow all safety procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment.
Adapt to a busy offloading area and help manage high volumes of incoming and outgoing inventory as needed.
Essential Skills
Previous warehouse experience.
Experience in manufacturing or production environments.
Experience loading and unloading materials.
Ability to lift 50 pounds or more repeatedly and safely.
Basic math skills to verify counts and quantities.
Experience documenting materials shipped, pulled, and received.
Customer-focused mindset with a consistently positive attitude.
Experience with sit-down forklift operation or willingness to be trained.
Experience in material handling, including moving pallets and products.
Experience in shipping and receiving functions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous sit-down forklift experience is preferred.
Experience with order pulling in a warehouse setting.
Background in general labor, production, or assembly work.
Exposure to warehouse environments such as chemical manufacturing or general manufacturing is helpful.
Familiarity with RF scanners, SAP, ERP systems, or warehouse inventory processes is beneficial but not required.
No computer skills are required for this role.
No formal inventory management skills are required; training is provided.
Strong work ethic and reliability, with a willingness to work extended hours when needed.

Work Environment
The warehouse operates as a small shop with about 10 people working in the facility, creating a close-knit and collaborative team atmosphere. The environment is very clean, organized, and non-climate-controlled, with open bay doors and plenty of fans to improve airflow. The offloading area is very busy, and the warehouse is open to customers from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The standard schedule for this role is a day shift, Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with overtime common and total weekly hours often exceeding 50, depending on inventory levels and workload. While overtime is not guaranteed, it is extremely rare to work only 40 hours in a week. The dress code includes steel-toe footwear, jeans, a work shirt, and safety glasses to ensure safety and professionalism on the floor.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $18.00/hr.
