Job Description
This role is responsible for driving data-driven trading, analytics, and automation within the securities financing business. The position combines quantitative analysis, systematic trading, and technology development to optimize PnL, enhance risk management, and support trading and client activities.
The candidate will partner closely with trading, technology, finance, and strategy teams to develop scalable solutions, improve market insights, and support the execution and structuring of transactions across global markets.
Key Responsibilities
Trading, Strategy and Execution
Support sales, trading, and hedging activities, including structuring, pricing, and execution of securities financing transactions
Manage the short book, including pricing, inventory levels, and liquidity planning across hard-to-borrow securities
Establish internal pricing for securities lending and partner with Finance to streamline intercompany PnL processes
Execute and monitor domestic and international equity financing transactions in line with market and regulatory requirements
Assist with day-to-day trading operations, including reconciliation and clearing
Quantitative Analysis and Research
Perform financial, statistical, and quantitative analysis to identify trends and support trading decisions
Conduct market research and develop data-driven insights and recommendations
Develop and maintain models to analyze market behavior, balance sheet usage, and PnL drivers
Run predictive analytics using Python to forecast events and risks within the book
Produce reporting including trend analysis, market color, and performance metrics
Technology, Automation and Data
Develop and maintain trading algorithms and systematic strategies to optimize performance
Build automation and AI-driven solutions to streamline trading workflows and risk monitoring
Partner with technology teams to design and implement automated trading systems
Work with Python, SQL, real-time data feeds, and APIs (including Bloomberg)
Build dashboards and data visualizations (e.g., Tableau) to support decision-making
Product Development and Innovation
Contribute to development of new trading products and identify market opportunities
Collaborate across teams to enhance electronic trading capabilities and scalability
Develop metrics and analytics to better understand market behavior and client demand
Risk and Balance Sheet Management
Monitor and optimize risk exposure, collateral usage, and funding strategies
Support balance sheet and RWA optimization through data-driven approaches
Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, related field, or equivalent work experience
