This position is for First Shift, Monday through Friday
This position functions as a second-line administrative supervisor (third-level clinical direction) of a limited work area directing the activities of resident care staff in a Psychiatric facility. As part of their managerial responsibilities this position must plan, develop, and implement and provide preceptorship of registered nurses, and establish a robust nursing program. This position encompasses identifying and monitoring staff development needs, maintaining records, preparing reports, overseeing corrective actions within the department, approving time and attendance, and conducting performance evaluations for assigned staff.
This is a Drug and Alcohol-tested (DART) position under the criteria provided in the collective bargaining unit agreement. All positions are subject to criminal background checks and fingerprinting.
Required Education and Experience
Education
Possession of a diploma or associate's degree in nursing.
Experience
Two years of experience equivalent to a Registered Nurse P11 or one year equivalent to a Registered Nurse 12 or a Registered Nurse Manager 12.

Possession of a master's degree in nursing may be substituted for one year of experience equivalent to a Registered Nurse P11; or, possession of a bachelor's degree in nursing may be substituted for six months of experience equivalent to a Registered Nurse P11.
