Summary The Program Support Assistant (OA) serves as the Customer Service, Work Order Clerk in the Engineering Service. The incumbent will provide administrative support and maintain physical files and/or electronic files and functions as the liaison between the facility staff and service staff, maintains billing records; prepares required budgetary documents for the service, enters appropriate billing information into an Access database for internal tracking purposes etc. Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to: Performs computer operations with skill and knowledge and executes, stores and retrieves documents from different systems. Functions independently once tasks have been assigned. Prioritizes, organizes and collects data for filing. Uses Microsoft Outlook extensively for communicating with contractors, colleagues and other VA Staff. Maintains adequate records for purchasing using credit card and the associated 2237's, adhere to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and provide budget updates to immediate supervisor when requested. Prioritize and assign work orders to the appropriate Engineering Shops through the current work order system. Maintains records for timekeeping, overtime/compensatory time, posts time daily and completes necessary corrections to time cards. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 0730-1600.
