Job Description
The Configuration Technician works in a warehouse environment to configure, test, and verify smartphones and tablets according to detailed instructions. This role combines hands-on technical work with basic warehouse tasks such as picking orders, using RF scanners, and managing inventory while standing and working at a workstation for extended periods.
Responsibilities
Configure smartphones and tablets by locating the settings page and applying required changes according to provided instructions.
Set up mobile devices following step-by-step configuration and testing procedures.
Power on tablets and perform functional tests as outlined in written or electronic instructions.
Review and follow pick sheets and order sheets to ensure the correct products are selected for configuration or shipment.
Use RF scanners to verify product information, track inventory, and confirm order accuracy.
Perform basic warehouse tasks such as picking, loading, unloading, and staging products as needed.
Operate pallet jacks to move inventory and devices safely within the warehouse.
Maintain accurate inventory counts and report discrepancies or damaged items.
Keep the workstation and surrounding area organized, clean, and free of hazards.
Stand and work at a desk or workstation for up to 10 hours per day while handling devices and performing configuration tasks.
Follow all written procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards during configuration and warehouse activities.
Essential Skills
Hands-on experience working with smartphones and tablets, including navigating device settings.
Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions for configuring and testing devices.
Experience using RF scanners to verify products and support inventory processes.
Skills in warehouse operations such as picking, loading, unloading, and inventory handling.
Ability to read and work from pick sheets and order sheets accurately.
Capability to stand and work at a desk or workstation for extended periods (up to 10 hours per day).
Basic familiarity with iPads and other smart devices used in a warehouse environment.
Ability to operate pallet jacks safely to move inventory within the warehouse.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in a warehouse, configuration, or electronics handling role.
Comfort working with multiple device @types, including smartphones, tablets, and iPads.
Attention to detail when following configuration steps and verifying product information.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain an orderly workstation.
Willingness to support general warehouse activities in addition to device configuration.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
