Job Title: ADE - Santa Barbara (Field Sales & Business Recruitment Contractor)Job Description
This role focuses on recruiting local businesses to join a new delivery partner program in the Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo area. You will work in the field, visiting prospective businesses, presenting the program, qualifying leads, guiding them through the application process, and supporting community-based recruitment events. The position requires frequent local travel of up to a two-hour driving distance and offers uncapped commission based on the number of partners you successfully convert.
Responsibilities
Visit prospective businesses door to door in targeted towns within approximately a two-hour driving distance.
Present and pitch the new delivery partner program to local businesses and generate interest in applying.
Qualify prospective businesses based on program criteria and guide them through the full application process.
Lead and manage sales pipeline activities in Salesforce, ensuring accurate and timely updates on all prospects and partners.
Support the Field Manager in planning and hosting community recruitment events, such as lunch-and-learn sessions and town hall meetings.
Collaborate with the Field Manager to engage local influencers and organizations, including chambers of commerce and economic development associations, to drive referrals.
Import Excel spreadsheets into Salesforce on a weekly basis to maintain accurate records of leads and partners.
Provide exceptional customer service to prospective partners, answering questions, addressing concerns, and helping solve issues that arise during the application process.
Drive referrals through community organizations and networks to expand the pool of potential business partners.
Maintain a professional, enthusiastic presence in the field and represent the program positively in all interactions.
Essential Skills
1-2+ years of experience in sales and/or customer service.
Proven outside or field sales experience.
Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
Demonstrated ability to perform door-to-door outreach and cold calling.
Strong customer service and communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
Ability to travel up to four hours round trip daily within the assigned territory.
High level of professionalism and ability to work effectively with others.
Strong attention to detail and ability to solve problems for applicants in the field.
Tech-savvy, with experience working with multiple systems and technology tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bilingual proficiency, particularly in Spanish, is preferred.
Prior experience in a role involving sales and/or negotiation with customers is a plus.
Previous field sales experience is a strong plus.
Enthusiasm for community engagement and building relationships with local organizations.
Strong sense of urgency and motivation to meet and exceed goals.
Work Environment
This is a field-based role centered in or near San Luis Obispo and the broader Santa Barbara region, covering a largely rural territory with significant drive time between towns and business locations. You will spend most of your time on the road and on-site at local businesses, working independently while coordinating closely with a Field Manager and other local contractors. The work involves regular door-to-door visits, in-person meetings, and community events such as lunch-and-learn sessions and town halls. You will use Salesforce as your primary CRM, along with Excel and other technology tools, and you will be expected to update systems regularly. The role offers uncapped commission with earnings tied directly to the number of partners you convert, along with additional monthly incentives for hitting goals. Travel of up to four hours round trip per day within the territory is expected.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.50 - $30.00/hr.
