Job Title: Structures Technician III

Location: Merritt Island, FL

Type: Contract / On-Site

Schedule: Friday - Sunday 5:00 am to 5:30 pm

Pay Rate starts at $52 per hour - Salary

Responsibilities

Configure new production work areas with the necessary tooling and equipment to ensure efficient workflow and minimize any potential delays during the transition to high-rate manufacturing.

Operate precision calibrated tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, etc.) to maintain high safety and quality standards.

Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency, enhancing overall productivity.

Drilling precision holes to tight tolerance.

Installing structural fasteners.

Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S principles to promote safety and operational efficiency.

Tasks involve preparing and testing payload systems and hardware by applying materials, conducting painting, sealing, composite layup, repairs, testing, and assisting with vehicle assembly and installation.

Involved in precise drilling and assembly using manual and power feed drills, specializing in large-scale structural assembly.

Work with metallic and composite materials, performing detailed processes like drilling, deburring, and assembling large components.

Maintain fabrication methods and specifications to ensure high-quality construction using various materials and techniques.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, structures, or related fields.

Familiarity with basic use of hand tools & drills.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.

Experience with precision calibration tools including torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser tracker, and optical measuring instruments.

Ability to lift 50lbs and work at heights (work stands, ladders, lifts) and/or in confined spaces.

Expertise in adhesives, sealants, and thermal blankets.

Proficiency in digital tools, including Windows and Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to work overtime as needed.
