Responsibilities
Direct daily operations across service, repair, installation, and construction divisions for commercial and industrial electrical projects.
Coordinate manpower scheduling, crew assignments, and resource allocation for multiple concurrent projects to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
Oversee day-to-day field and office activities, ensuring alignment between project managers, field crews, customers, vendors, and leadership.
Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, OSHA requirements, and internal safety policies.
Develop, implement, and refine operational processes to improve efficiency, quality, and profitability across construction and service operations.
Monitor project progress, resolve operational issues, and adjust staffing and resources to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to field teams, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.
Support and guide commercial electricians responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial environments.
Coordinate and support 24-hour emergency services, ensuring appropriate coverage and rapid response for urgent customer needs.
Oversee work involving high voltage systems, power and lighting wiring, communications infrastructure, and fire alarm systems.
Review and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, specifications, and scopes of work to ensure accurate execution in the field.
Collaborate with project managers to plan work sequences, manage material needs, and ensure clear communication of project expectations to crews.
Promote and enforce safe work practices in accordance with OSHA and company safety policies, including proper use of tools and equipment.
Engage with customers to understand their needs, set expectations, and ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
Support preventive maintenance and troubleshooting activities on electrical systems, including panels, motor controls, and related equipment.
Use production and program management principles to track performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement.
Leverage project management and scheduling tools to plan, track, and report on construction and service operations.
Mentor and develop skilled tradespeople, encouraging professional growth and building strong, cohesive teams.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical contracting.
Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC), electrical systems, and construction and service workflows.
Proven leadership experience managing field teams or operations in an electrical contracting or closely related environment.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, specifications, and scopes of work.
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey expectations to field teams and communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills with a focus on safety, quality, and profitability.
Hands-on understanding of electrical installation, including conduit installation and bending, wiring, pulling wire, and low voltage work.
Experience with commercial construction, electrical troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems.
Comfort working with hand tools, mechanical components, and electrical system maintenance.
Customer service mindset with the ability to balance customer expectations with field realities.
Operational mindset suited to a multi-project environment, with the ability to coordinate both construction and service activities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Master electrician or journeyperson license is preferred.
Experience using project management software and scheduling tools in construction and service operations.
OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
Experience with high voltage systems, including work from 24 to 69,000 volts.
Familiarity with power and lighting wiring, communications infrastructure, and fire alarm systems.
Experience with PLC troubleshooting and preventive maintenance activities.
Background in production management, program management, or supervision within an electrical or industrial setting.
Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and schematics for complex electrical installations.
Experience with installation and maintenance of lighting systems, panels, motor controls, and related equipment.
Capability to support and coordinate 24-hour emergency electrical services.

Work Environment
The work environment focuses on delivering a wide range of emergency and non-emergency electrical services, typically within approximately a one-hour radius of Quakertown, PA. Teams perform both typical and specialized electrical work, including lighting, receptacles, panels, motor controls, and high voltage systems from 24 to 69,000 volts. Field operations include high voltage switches, transformers, terminations, setting poles, cut-outs, and lightning arresters. The organization also provides and installs fire alarm systems, phone and data cabling, security cameras, access control systems, and HVAC control wiring. Work involves a combination of field and office activities, coordination of multiple crews, and support for 24-hour emergency services, requiring flexibility and readiness to respond to urgent customer needs. Technicians and supervisors regularly use hand tools, electrical test equipment, and industry-standard project management and scheduling tools while adhering to NEC, local codes, and OSHA safety requirements.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00/hr.
