The Cloud Software Architect will architect the modernization of enterprise-class software applications. They will work in coordination with Agile development teams and other stakeholders to architect, design, build, migrate, expand, automate, and sustain a large, multi-tenant cloud platform/enterprise. The Cloud Software Architect will leverage their experience in cloud software architecture to design and direct the development of this exciting new solution.

As a Cloud Software Architect, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our federal customers. You will play a crucial role via the following:
Designs, architects, deploys and maintains cloud solutions
Maintains the integrity and security of systems
Supports and develops automation
Develops in languages such as Bash, Python, Node.js, and React.js
Maintains/enhances knowledge of AWS cloud services
Composes and maintains standard operating procedures and work instructions, knowledge articles, et al.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Cloud Software Architect must have:
? Education:
Training, Certificate, or Degree required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering or relevant experience preferred
? Experience: 10+ years of related experience with AWS cloud computing
? Required Skills:
Proficiency in the following languages: Bash, Python, Node.js, and React.js
Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing one of the following: Terraform and/or CloudFormation
Understanding of RESTful APIs and event-driven architecture
Linux OS experience
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including UI/UX designers, product managers, and other developers) to deliver high-quality solutions.
Experience with application using serverless architecture and/or containerization
Extensive SDLC experience
Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience delivering presentations to diverse audiences at various levels of an organization
? Required Certification:
Must possess AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
-or- Must possess AWS - Certified Solutions Architect - Associate and be willing and able to obtain AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional within 180 days of hire

GDITLA
The likely salary range for this position is $170,144 - $207,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
Our benefits package for all US-based employees includes a variety of medical plan options, some with Health Savings Accounts, dental plan options, a vision plan, and a 401(k) plan offering the ability to contribute both pre and post-tax dollars up to the IRS annual limits and receive a company match. To encourage work/life balance, GDIT offers employees full flex work weeks where possible and a variety of paid time off plans, including vacation, sick and personal time, holidays, paid parental, military, bereavement and jury duty leave. GDIT typically provides new employees with 15 days of paid leave per calendar year to be used for vacations, personal business, and illness and an additional 10 paid holidays per year. Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee's date of hire. The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees.
