You will serve as a RIGGER SUPERVISOR I in the REGINAL DIVING DIVISION (760), LIFTING AND HANDLING DEPARTMENT (700) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties
Help
You will plan and organize work assignments for a dive team.
You will determine contingency plans that may be necessary based on actual work situations uncovered at start of work project (i.e., operational risk management).
You will direct and supervise all diving/rigging work at diving/rigging work sites, assign tools, equipment and materials, instruct workers on proper work methods, use and care of equipment, and safe work practices.
You will conduct daily interactive pre-job briefings, which involve explaining current diving operations, repairs and other work procedures.
You will perform administrative and supervisory responsibilities to include maintaining all records of divers' time and manhour charges, work progress, accidents, injuries, and caused of these and prepare reports as required.

You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
The incumbent must be a first-class diver with Navy diving experience as a diving supervisor controlling diving operations or previously qualified as a Navy Master Diver.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
