About The Role:
CBRE's InvestmentAccounting & Reporting Solutions group is seeking a Design &Construction Senior Controller to join a collaborative team focused supportinga portfolio of clients. This role is responsible for leading a team ofControllers and Assistant Controllers who create real estate accountingtransactions and the production of the various resulting financial reports andstatements for development projects.
What You'll Do:
· Review assigned work product, includingfinancial packages and workpapers, to ensure complete, accurate, and timelydelivery.
· Adhere to Client Accounting Policies andProcedures (CAPP).
· Review and create complex property budgets andforecasting.
· Participate in new property and clienttransitions, and client audit requests.
· Communicate requests for additional services tosenior management and understand the scope of accounting services for theproperties in portfolio.
· Prepare and oversee advanced financial statementpackages, including creating and posting journal entries, ensuring cashreceipts and expense payables are recorded, preparing and submitting fundingrequests, preparing and submitting owner's distributions, and othertransactions.
· Oversee the preparation of development costreports in PM Web.
· Ensure contracts and change orders on projectsare properly maintained in PM Web.
· Work with project executives to update andreview anticipated project costs, including monthly variance report.
· Reconcile PM Web development cost reports togeneral ledger and loan draws.
· Oversee the preparation of funding requests.
· Manage the payment or rejection of developmentfees, payroll, and reimbursables. Manage cash balances.
· Assist in the preparation of financialreporting.
· Oversee projects including purchase/sale prorations, property software setups, opening/closing entry generations, andmaintenance of Policy & Procedure manuals.
· Resolve and respond to escalated issues andrequests, including answering questions regarding various accounting issues andreports.
· Partners with the field and Account Managementteams to ensure requirements and terms of the client's Management Agreement areadhered to based upon working knowledge of these agreements.
· Coordinate work with other team members withinsingle point-of-contact (SPOC) guidelines.
· Troubleshoot issues to ensure internal andexternal requests are handled timely, accurately, and with a focus oncustomer service.
· Mentor and provide training and guidance to teammembers.
· Provide assistance such as technical guidance tocoworkers.
· May coordinate and assign tasks to coworkerswithin a project.
· Support internal and external audits, providingrequired documentation and explanations.
· Ensure adherence to CBRE's IA&R standards,SOX compliance (if applicable), and client-specific policies.
· Drive improvements in accounting procedures,reporting automation, and workflow efficiencies.
· Support onboarding of new clients and transitionof new scopes of work.

· Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevantexperience required.
· Experience with development level accounting, includingpreparing and reviewing workpapers, required.
· Experience with accounting software systems suchas Yardi preferred.
· Knowledge of Generally Accepted AccountingPrinciples (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) regulationsincluding knowledge of financial terms and principles to include accountingmethods (cash, accrual, and full GAAP).
· Technical financial skills and knowledge ofGAAP, FASB, REIS, IFRS, and in-region/in-country standards whereapplicable.
· Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced,client-focusedenvironment.
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Officeapplications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and related tools.
· Excellent communication skills and the abilityto partner with clients and cross-functional teams.
· Strong quantitative skills, with the ability toperform moderately complex financial calculations such as percentages,fractions, and related numerical analyses.
