Job Description:

The Over-the-Road Truck Driver is responsible for operating tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles to transport containerized materials across designated routes. This role ensures the safe, compliant, and timely movement of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Follow all company health, safety, and environmental procedures, maintaining safe work practices at all times

Execute assigned routes efficiently, coordinating with dispatch and customer support teams to optimize pickups and deliveries

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including verifying equipment condition and ensuring vehicles are properly fueled and ready for operation

Transport waste materials to and from customer locations and designated facilities in accordance with all regulatory requirements

Verify that all containers are properly labeled, secured, and meet transportation compliance standards

Accurately complete manifests, shipping documents, and required regulatory paperwork for each load

Maintain driver logs and records in compliance with DOT and applicable state and federal regulations

Load and unload materials as needed, including handling drums and other containers

Interact professionally with customers, serving as a reliable and courteous company representative

Support additional operational tasks as needed to meet business demands

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of Class A CDL driving experience required

High school diploma or equivalent required

Additional Requirements

Ability to meet company driving standards and maintain a valid CDL

Willingness and ability to obtain any additional endorsements as needed

Capable of wearing required personal protective equipment, including respiratory protection

Understanding of (or ability to learn) applicable DOT, OSHA, and RCRA regulations

Strong communication skills for coordination with internal teams and customer contacts

Ability to remain alert and operate safely in dynamic work environments

Consistent attendance and dependability in performing job duties

Pre-Employment Requirements

Successful completion of a drug screening and background check
