Job Overview
This entry-level Construction Technician role focuses on installing HVAC systems in new residential construction. You will work outdoors on active construction sites, gaining hands-on experience while learning core HVAC installation skills.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will support HVAC installation and construction tasks by:
Driving directly to assigned residential job sites each day (no office reporting required)
Loading and unloading tools, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently
Measuring distances accurately using a tape measure and applying those measurements to installation work
Using hand and power tools to assist with HVAC installation
Fabricating or modifying parts on-site using shears, hammers, punches, and drills
Installing flex duct and register boots in attics and designated areas of new homes
Applying mastic and sealing materials to ensure proper ductwork performance
Maintaining tools and equipment in clean, safe, working condition
Following direction from project leadership and working with a crew of 4-6 team members
Assisting with additional tasks as needed to support overall project completion
Essential Skills
To succeed in this role, you should have:
Previous experience working outdoors in all weather conditions
Strong reliability, including the ability to travel directly to job sites daily
Ability to accurately use a tape measure (non-negotiable requirement)
Willingness to learn and retain HVAC and construction skills
Comfort using basic hand and power tools
Ability to work effectively as part of a team on active job sites
Strong ability to follow instructions and established procedures
Mechanical aptitude and a hands-on work mentality
Additional Skills & Qualifications (Preferred)
While not required, the following will help you stand out:
Prior experience in construction or related fields
Any industry-related certifications
Experience in roles such as:
Installation
New construction
Warehouse or shop technician work
Box truck driving
General labor
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work professionally on-site

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sewickley, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
