Position Title:Fabrication Supervisor\
Department:Plant Admin\
Reports to:Production Manager\
FLSA Status:Non-Exempt
The Fabrication Supervisor leads and supports the fabrication team to
ensure efficient, high-quality production that meets daily targets. This
hands-on leadership role is responsible for maintaining a safe work
environment, coaching team members, and driving continuous improvement
in processes and performance. The ideal candidate is a strong
communicator with a team-first mindset and a deep understanding of
fabrication operations.

Oversee daily fabrication operations, including assigning work,
monitoring production flow, oversee clocking and troubleshooting any
issues.

Ensure all safety protocols and quality standards are followed
consistently.

Lead, mentor, and support team members to promote growth,
accountability, and engagement.

Coordinate with other departments (engineering, maintenance,
shipping, etc.) to meet production goals and resolve workflow
challenges.

Track key metrics such as output, downtime, rework, and material
usage.

Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluations in
partnership with HR and the Production Manager.

Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying
opportunities for efficiency and quality enhancements.

Ensure equipment is maintained and that any mechanical or tooling
issues are reported and addressed promptly.

Serve as the primary point of contact for shift-related issues in the
fabrication department.
Qualifications:
-
Prior experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
required.

Forklift operation experience required (multiple @types preferred)

Previous leadership or team lead experience preferred.

Strong understanding of fabrication processes, safety practices, and
quality standards.

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and production drawings.

Effective communication and conflict resolution skills.

Comfortable using basic computer systems for reporting and
scheduling.

Physical Requirements:

Regular exposure to a manufacturing floor environment.
-
Standing, lifting, bending, and operating machinery throughout shift.

Must be able to stand, walk, and move around the facility for
extended periods.

May include occasional weekend or overtime hours as production
demands.

Ability and willingness to work non-standard hours, including
periodic third shift coverage, based on operational needs.

Works in a computer-based environment requiring extended periods of
sitting and consistent hand/finger dexterity for typing and data entry.
Work Environment:

Primarily based in a manufacturing plant environment.
-
Exposure to typical manufacturing conditions including noise,
temperature variations, and moving machinery, following all required PPE
and safety protocols.

Must wear required personal protective equipment in accordance with
company safety policies, including company-provided safety glasses and
employee-provided steel-toed footwear; additional PPE may be required
based on job duties.
