Position Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will leverage the Federal Agency's systems to collect, validate, process, integrate, and analyze investigative and performance data from designated cases. This role involves providing comprehensive data analysis, developing performance reports, and creating visual dashboards to support decision-making processes.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Acquire, clean, and merge data from various federal agency systems and develop ETL pipelines for regular data ingestion and transformation.
Conduct network analysis and build predictive models to support investigative prioritization and decision-making.
Deliver interactive dashboards and visual analytics tailored to executive and operational audiences.
Conduct data quality audits, document schema and business rules, and propose system improvements for increased efficiency.
Provide reports, statistical summaries, and data visualizations to support federal agency management and leadership.
Maintain and enhance automated dashboards, and explore alternative technologies for data visualization.
Construct queries using R, Python, and/or SQL to support data extraction and analysis efforts.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
3+ years in applied data science or analytics roles.
Proficiency in Excel, Python, R, and Tableau (or equivalent).
Experience with law enforcement or large statistical datasets.
Active Secret clearance at a minimum.
Proven experience in data collection, validation, processing, integration, and analysis.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts and data insights to stakeholders.
