Kelly is partnering with a Johnson and Johnson client in Wilson, NC to hire a Senior Administrative Assistant in Wilson, NC.
Pay: $38.46/hour
Schedule: M-F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Job Description
The purpose of this role is to support the VP, Project Development as a Senior Administrative Assistant at a leading biotech organization in Wilson, North Carolina. This position plays a critical role in ensuring seamless administrative operations while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. It is an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful initiatives within a dynamic and innovative environment.
This role provides high-level administrative support to the VP, Project Development. Responsibilities include managing administrative processes, coordinating communications, and supporting cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of anticipating needs to drive efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical administrative support and facilitate communication for the VP and their team
Manage departmental operations, including headcount tracking, budget oversight, and purchase order management
Handle communications, correspondence, expense and invoice processing
Coordinate schedules, travel arrangements, and internal/external meetings
Support conference planning, contractor management, procurement, and special projects
Prepare presentations and communication materials
Coordinate and analyze projects, including monthly Program Management summaries
Serve as a liaison with community groups and organizations to support local engagement
Ensure adherence to safety and environmental practices
Perform additional administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
Required
High School Diploma
Minimum of 4 years of administrative experience supporting director-level or higher executives
Experience working in a highly matrixed organization preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
Experience with travel coordination and group logistics
Preferred
Experience with J&J systems and tools (Concur, AMEX Travel, Summit, AskGS, IRIS, Zoom)
Associate's degree or administrative certification
Experience coordinating events
Background in accounting, budgeting, or administrative support training
Time management and video conferencing expertise
