Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support financial operations for a long-term contract opportunity in Rogers, Minnesota. This position focuses on managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate customer balances, and helping ensure timely resolution of outstanding invoices. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in receivables, commercial collections, billing support, and daily cash activity while working effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Process customer payments accurately and apply cash receipts to the appropriate accounts in a timely manner.

Review open balances, follow up with commercial clients, and drive collection efforts to reduce overdue accounts.

Prepare and issue billing records while verifying invoice accuracy and resolving discrepancies when needed.

Monitor daily cash activity and maintain complete, organized records of transactions and account updates.

Reconcile receivable accounts to ensure payment postings, adjustments, and balances are correct.

Communicate with internal teams and customers to address questions related to invoices, payment status, and account details.

Investigate unapplied cash, short payments, and deduction issues to support accurate account resolution. Requirements - Experience working in accounts receivable with responsibility for payment posting and account maintenance.

Hands-on knowledge of cash applications and the ability to apply funds accurately across customer accounts.

Background in commercial collections with a detail-oriented and effective approach to customer follow-up.

Familiarity with billing processes, invoice review, and resolving payment discrepancies.

Ability to track daily cash activity and maintain detailed financial records with accuracy.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with customers and internal stakeholders.
