Senior Manager, Finance Business Process
We are a global life sciences company advancing healthcare through innovation. The Senior Manager, Finance Business Process will join our Financial Systems Data Innovation team to lead cross-functional initiatives, improve R2R processes, and strengthen Finance master data governance.
This role plays a key part in shaping our digital transformation and optimizing end-to-end finance operations and provides an opportunity to impact a large-scale digital transformation project within a collaborative and innovative environment.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Digital Financial Systems, this role leads R2R and Finance Master Data improvement initiatives, defines high-level process flows, identifies efficiency opportunities, and develops business cases and roadmaps.
The Senior Manager partners closely across Finance and IT to deliver scalable, compliant, and data-driven solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading initiatives and workstreams
Mapping high-level process flows
Translating business requirements into efficiency and process improvement opportunities
Preparing project materials and executive readouts for program initiatives
The ideal candidate brings:
Advanced SAP proficiency
Strong understanding of R2R processes
Expertise in master data governance and cross-system impacts
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and governance programs
This individual will champion process governance principles and lead cross-functional workstreams to tackle complex process and data challenges while ensuring seamless integration and optimization of digital operations.
Key Responsibilities
Process Improvement & Automation
Identify automation and process improvement opportunities using digital tools and technologies
Develop process flows, documentation, and root cause analyses to improve operational efficiency
Translate business requirements into actionable recommendations and solution designs
Champion change management and continuous improvement initiatives across Finance
Program / Project Delivery Management
Lead R2R and master data workstreams ensuring delivery of milestones and objectives
Manage smaller project initiatives and project timelines
Monitor project risks, issues, and progress while providing timely stakeholder updates
Support training, business readiness, UAT coordination, and adoption of new processes
Master Data Governance (MDG)
Contribute to master data governance strategies and best practices
Support initiatives to improve data quality and integrity
Participate as a member of the Global Master Data Governance (GMDG) team
Help develop data definitions, business roles, and governance processes supporting enterprise data quality standards
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
5+ years of experience in digital operations or financial systems, preferably within life sciences
Strong knowledge of Record-to-Report (R2R) processes and cross-functional finance impacts
Hands-on experience with SAP FICO and finance master data
Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Experience leading finance optimization and transformation initiatives
Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights
Strong understanding of master data governance in enterprise environments
Excellent project coordination and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
SAP S/4HANA experience preferred
Experience with BlackLine, Jaggaer, SAP BPA, SAC, and MDG
PMP certification is a plus
Experience leading system and data transformation initiatives
