Job Description Duties: Develop and improve formulations and product applications for portfolio of pharmaceutical and dietary supplement products; collaborate with customer's product innovation, sales, and marketing to promote functional value-added solutions. Lead Application Development to build and drive strong customer interactions; drive and strengthen new product development to deliver revenue growth initiatives through solution-based offerings; aid in strategy planning for development of robust formulation and manufacturing processes as well as insource/outsource development activities in collaboration with other departments; develop and manage applications / R&D projects and customer technical troubleshooting requests; design experiments and testing protocols to support projects; identify and manage new product and innovation opportunities to deliver growth within the pharmaceutical and dietary supplement space; manage technical relationship with customers to identify pipeline of opportunities and offer technical support and problem solving to current customers; provide support to the global sales team on existing product portfolio and new product launches by directly interfacing with customers and distribution channels.

Skills required: Background in education, training, or experience must include experience with pharmaceutical formulation and excipient functionality; experience with dosage form design including tablets, capsules and other Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) as well as liquids and semi solids; demonstrated ability to perform technical analysis and give presentations; demonstrated ability to perform process and formulation troubleshooting; strong knowledge of common health and pharma processes, ingredient functionality, and ingredient interactions such as phosphates, hydrocolloids, starches, minerals, herbal extracts, etc.; hands-on experience with excipients in pharmaceutical and dietary supplements; experience with ingredient technology and/or industry background in excipients; strong technical and communication skills to gain and maintain credibility with work teams and customers; ability to identify key end-users and develop high level relationships to drive projects and qualifications forward.
