Summary You will serve as a RANGE SAFETY OFFICER in the RANGE MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT DIVISION of OFFICE OF THE COMMANDING GENERAL. This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement Number: ST-12952903-26-ARB. Applicants that have previously applied NEED to re-apply to this announcement. Responsibilities You will coordinate with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for required daily training airspace. You will coordinate with training event planners when scheduling training events and provides information on the support/training and capabilities, and scheduling. You will attend weekly meetings and represent the Division in support of training exercises, experiments, environmental projects, public works projects, and civilian activities. You will assist with the coordination of real-time range scheduling issues with the Range Operations Officer and Range Control Officer. You will be responsible to the Range Operations Officer for the collection, processing and analysis of range, training areas, training facility, and airspace usage data. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Firm application of the Risk Management process; Familiar with the @types of Special Use Airspace; the processing and approving of range requests via the Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS); and provide oversight of approved daily range activities.
