About the Role
As an Accounting Manager , you'll be a critical contributor to accurate, timely financial reporting and strong accounting controls. You'll partner closely with the business to deliver thoughtful, responsive support while building a collaborative, positive, and engaging team culture. In this role, you'll also be a coach and mentor, helping accountants grow their technical skills, critical thinking, and confidence through a high-performing (and genuinely enjoyable) close environment.
Location: Lakeville, MN - Hybrid, Onsite requirement 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
Lead timely, accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
Lead, coach, and mentor accountants; review journal entries, workpapers, and account reconciliations for quality and accuracy.
Strengthen team culture through open communication, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Research and evaluate changes inGAAP and other regulatory guidance; confirm treatments align to GAAP and document conclusions.
Drive process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Provide accurate and timely information to the parent company; support alignment with corporate policies, standards, and expectations.
Partner cross-functionally to explain accounting impacts, support business initiatives, and provide practical, solution-oriented guidance.
Own SOX controls within the accounting function; maintain documentation and support testing/remediation with Internal Audit and the SOX manager.
Serve as back-up for key accounting functions to ensure continuity and on-time execution.
Support special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
What We're Looking For
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA license (active or inactive)
7-10 years of progressive accounting experience
Experience in a public company environment , including understanding of SEC reporting , internal controls, and close rigor
Experience leading or mentoring accounting professionals
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
Strong experience conducting GAAP research and applying GAAP
Preferred
Experience with JD Edwards or another advanced ERP system

The pay range for this position is $89,506 - $132,468 per year.
