JOB TITLE: Principal Software Engineering

JOB LOCATION: 200 S Laurel Ave, Bldg A, Middletown, NJ 07748

DUTIES: Apply engineering principles and practice in broad areas of complex technical project work that requires in-depth analysis using advanced techniques, knowledge, and expertise. Perform architecture, design, development, and deployment of systems supporting network solutions critical. Lead efforts to consolidate multiple network configuration management applications into a unified, efficient, and scalable solution. Gather and review software requirements, provide estimates, create design specifications, and work with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions. Design and code software applications by applying various programming languages and network protocols. Develop solutions to integrate mainframe-based legacy systems with modern non-mainframe architectures, ensuring operational continuity during transformation. Develop and implement AI/ML-driven solutions to enhance automation, improve accuracy, and optimize network provisioning processes. Create innovative Agentic AI technologies to enable autonomous decision-making and adaptability in network configuration and provisioning systems. Develop and implement automated test plans, validate test environments, data, and results, design and implement code fixes, and produce reporting. Troubleshoot and resolve application configuration and environment issues. Provide technical expertise and mentorship to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with

AT&T's strategic goals and industry standards. Use continuous integration continuous deployment principals along with using Agile development methodologies to ensure timely delivery and deployment of critical business features. Deploy cloud native applications on Azure and experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or OpenShift. Work on IP networking, network device configuration, network OSS architecture, Opensource technologies and use of AI technologies to develop optimal business solutions and achieve cycle time reductions. Work with programming languages python, Java, JavaScript, React, Angular and shell scripting along with Spring Boot, Microservices, and Spring Cloud. Develop RESTful APIs and web services for seamless integration. Utilize TIRKS and developing Network Operating Support Systems (OSS) to inventory, order and manage network infrastructure. Use network protocols like TCP, Netconf and programmatically configuration of network routers and switches. Develop AI/ML solutions to enable autonomous decision making and Intent-Based principals in network configuration.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or 5 years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in a related occupation deploying cloud native applications on Azure and experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or OpenShift; working on IP networking, network device configuration, network OSS architecture, Opensource technologies and use of AI technologies to develop optimal business solutions and achieve cycle time reductions; working with programming languages python, Java, JavaScript, React, Angular and shell scripting along with Spring Boot, Microservices, and Spring Cloud; developing RESTful APIs and web services for seamless integration; utilizing TIRKS and developing Network Operating Support Systems (OSS) to inventory, order and manage network infrastructure; using network protocols like TCP, Netconf and programmatically configuration of network routers and switches; developing AI/ML solutions to enable autonomous decision making and Intent-Based principals in network configuration.

Our Principal Software Engineerings earn between $189,592 - $261,100 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers.
