We are looking for an Administrative Coordinator 3, 2 or 1 to join our Medical Records department - a proactive, goal-minded and focused team that fries our department forward. The Administrative Coordinator plays a key role in the smooth operation of the Medical Records department, assisting nursing and clerical staff with daily tasks.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
As an Administrative Coordinator 3, 2 or 1 you will be responsible for:
Assembling new admit (patient/resident) charts and maintain active patient/resident medical records; stripping active and discharged patient/resident medical records; documenting and filing patient/resident data into records from Nursing Services information sheets
Reviewing patient/resident daily census for completeness/accuracy
Entering patient/residents' weights and vital signs on assigned unit into the LTC program.
Copying and preparing medical charts upon request from attorneys, hospitals, and outside medical offices. Gathering, preparing and providing all necessary information to outside agencies for medical appointments for patients/residents on assigned unit
Maintaining various patient/resident lists for Nursing Staff, Dietary, Social Services, etc., as required.
Operating and maintaining office equipment, e.g. computers, copiers, and fax machines
Posting physician, maintenance, and transportation on-call schedules in prominent place. Posting trip list, memos, menus and other important information as required
Responding to various requests from physicians, nurses, administration and/or other treatment staff. Responding to incoming telephone calls and routing them accordingly. Sorting and distributing inter-hospital mail and making ward rounds every day. Contacting internal departments for nurses and physicians

Appointment Type:The position may be filled by a probation, or a promotion of a permanent state employee.
Work Schedule: 8-hour Days Monday - Friday
Career Progression: This position is in a CPG (Career Progression Group) and may be filled as an Administrative Coordinator 1, 2 or 3, depending on the applicant's experience.
