Work Environment
This role is based in a very large manufacturing facility of nearly 500,000 square feet that produces sheet metal components for shelving units commonly used in major retail environments. The building is older and houses a significant amount of fabrication and manufacturing equipment, resulting in a fairly noisy environment due to multiple production lines operating simultaneously. Office spaces are located above the manufacturing floor, allowing quick access between desk work, meetings, and the production lines. Industrial Engineers spend most of their time on the manufacturing floor, working closely with production support and operations teams on active projects and process improvements. The work culture emphasizes flexibility, with a flexible work schedule, casual dress, and a laid-back atmosphere. The organization offers substantial opportunities for growth and upward mobility, particularly for engineers who are interested in progressing into leadership roles. While on a contract-to-hire basis, employees are eligible for company bonus potential (up to 5% every six months, up to 10% per year), 10 paid holidays, three weeks of accrued vacation, and a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage starting on the first day of employment, as well as access to an onsite health clinic. Once hired directly, employees also gain access to a 401(k) with employer match, an Employee Assistance Program, an Educational Assistance Program, and structured career development programs, in addition to continuing the bonus program, paid holidays, vacation, comprehensive benefits, and onsite health clinic access
