Description:

You will be the Systems Engineer for the Vehicle Systems Engineering team which is responsible for delivering reliable, high-performance aircraft to production.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Systems Engineer you will be responsible for bridging Vehicle Systems Engineering and Production to ensure F-35 aircraft meet stringent performance and safety standards. You will work closely with senior engineers, production personnel, and cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and drive continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include:

Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot technical issues on aircraft in production.

Lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations for production and fleet issues.

Coordinate and lead test events on production aircraft to support development activities.

Update and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D drawings, ensuring compliance with drafting standards and configuration management.

Develop and manage MBSE models (SysML) and maintain requirements traceability using tools such as IBM DOORS.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN -?This position is located at a facility that requires?special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Interim Secret?clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related STEM discipline.

Experience in 3D CAD modeling software (e.g., CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, Teamcenter Vis Mockup).

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of F-35 Vehicle Systems (EPS, PTMS, HUA, FCS, etc.)

Familiarity working in a production and/or flightline environment

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex issues.

Experience using F-35 Product Data Manager (PDM) and F-35 Joint Electrical Design and Installation (JEDI).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and team collaboration.

Self-starter attitude with a strong desire to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
