Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Job Description
The Warehouse Associate receives and organizes materials, prepares orders for shipment, and maintains a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment. This role supports daily warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment, while collaborating closely with team members and following all safety and PPE protocols.
Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments, verifying accuracy against documentation and reporting any discrepancies.
Organize, label, and store materials in designated warehouse locations to ensure easy access and efficient workflow.
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or shipment according to work orders and customer requirements.
Maintain accurate inventory records, support regular cycle counts, and assist with inventory adjustments as needed.
Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe by following housekeeping standards and promptly addressing hazards.
Support team workflow by assisting coworkers with tasks and adjusting to changing priorities throughout the day.
Follow all safety protocols and required PPE standards, including safe use of hand and power tools and adherence to warehouse safety procedures.
Learn to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently as training is provided.
Load and unload trucks, including heavy lifting and secure placement of materials.
Use basic computer or tablet systems to update inventory, process orders, and track shipments.
Assist with door installation preparation and related material handling as needed.
Drive company vehicles as required for materials, deliveries, or related warehouse tasks, when authorized.
Climb and work from ladders up to 10 feet to access stored materials or complete assigned tasks.
Perform additional tasks and special projects assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or General Manager.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a warehouse, material handling, or logistics environment.
Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting and move materials throughout the shift.
Experience with loading and unloading trucks in a warehouse setting.
Basic computer or tablet skills for inventory and order management systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking, packing, and inventory tracking.
Physical stamina to perform regular lifting, climbing ladders, and active work throughout the day.
Team-oriented mindset with solid communication skills and a collaborative approach.
Commitment to safety, responsibility, and efficiency, including adherence to PPE requirements.
Comfort working around and using hand and power tools in a wood-based warehouse environment.
Ability to work Monday through Friday on a full-time schedule within the stated shift hours.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Confidence handling daily shipping and receiving tasks, including documentation and verification.
Experience with general warehouse operations such as stocking, staging, and organizing materials.
Comfort working in environments with wood dust and varying temperatures.
Ability to operate or willingness to learn to operate forklifts and pallet jacks under proper training.
Experience with or interest in door installation support and related material preparation.
Clear, respectful communication skills with coworkers and supervisors.
Strong safety awareness and consistent use of required PPE.
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic in a structured warehouse setting.

Work Environment
This role is based in a warehouse located in Vacaville with an adjacent showroom displaying products. The facility operates between 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with a typical shift of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for approximately 40 hours per week. Start times may range between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., offering some flexibility within standard daytime hours. The warehouse contains large quantities of wood, saw tables, and measuring tables, and you will regularly work around and use hand and power tools. The environment can be hot or cold depending on the weather, and there is significant wood dust present, so you must be comfortable working in a dusty setting while following PPE requirements. The role involves climbing and working on ladders up to 10 feet and performing frequent heavy lifting. Dress expectations include appropriate workwear suitable for a wood and tool-based warehouse, with support provided through an annual pant and boots allowance.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
