Job Title: Manufacturing Operator - Medical Device Laser Processing
Pay: $20/HR - Starting Wage $2 bump after 6 months

Job Description
This role offers the opportunity to work in an exciting, high-growth medical device startup environment that uses custom, state-of-the-art laser cutting systems to produce unique lifesaving components. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced operations group, learning multiple roles, supporting the laser process, and focusing primarily on post-processing activities such as cleaning and inspecting components. The position requires a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn every step of the process, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Support the laser cutting process by handling components before and after laser operations.
Perform post-processing of parts using acid pickling solutions and other approved methods to clean components.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including smock, goggles, and gloves, while working with chemicals and equipment.
Clean and inspect lifesaving medical device components to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
Set up and run state-of-the-art laser cutting systems after training and as needed.
Inspect components using measurement tools and inspection equipment to verify that specifications and tolerances are met.
Master all production processes over time and propose creative ideas to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
Participate in startup and shutdown of facilities equipment as part of the operations team.
Train other employees in production processes or equipment usage when requested by the supervisor.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies and good safe labor practices.
Follow instructions from the supervisor and/or production manager and adhere to all company procedures and guidelines.
Demonstrate professional conduct, reliability, and a high standard of job performance at all times.
Contribute positively to a team-oriented environment and help create a workplace where people enjoy their work.
Essential Skills
Ability to operate and learn machine operations in a production or manufacturing environment.
Comfort working with chemicals, including acid pickling solutions, while following safety procedures and wearing PPE.
Basic math skills, including unit conversions such as millimeters to centimeters.
Ability to perform quality control and inspection of parts with attention to detail.
Experience or aptitude with inspection tools such as calipers and microscopes.
Basic computer literacy for data entry and production documentation.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and focus in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn multiple jobs within the operations group and take on different responsibilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent (preferred).
Experience with inspection equipment or equivalent quality control experience (preferred).
Familiarity with quality control processes and documentation (QC).
Experience using calipers, microscopes, and other precision measurement tools.
Basic experience with spot welding, hand tools, and power tools is a plus.
Exposure to laser equipment or laser-based manufacturing processes is a plus.
Comfort with data entry and basic computer applications used in production environments.
Demonstrated willingness to learn, cross-train, and continuously improve skills.

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean manufacturing environment focused on producing medical device components using advanced laser cutting systems and related equipment. You will work with inspection tools such as calipers and microscopes, as well as computer systems for data entry and quality documentation. The position follows structured shifts, with second shift from 2:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Work involves handling chemicals for post-processing, using appropriate personal protective equipment including smock, goggles, and gloves to ensure safety.
