Description

We are looking for a dependable Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations for a manufacturing firm in Chaska, Minnesota. This is a Contract position suited for someone who can step in quickly, manage administrative tasks with confidence, and work effectively with limited supervision. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills, a detail-oriented approach to front-office support, and the ability to keep workflows organized and efficient.

Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day administrative support by managing office activities, maintaining organized records, and assisting with general coordination needs.

Welcome visitors and serve as a detail-oriented first point of contact by handling reception coverage and responding to inbound calls promptly.

Enter, update, and review data in internal systems to help maintain accurate documentation and reporting.

Support scheduling, correspondence, and routine office communications to keep team activities running smoothly.

Use office software and administrative tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently and with attention to detail.

Work independently to prioritize assignments, resolve routine issues, and maintain productivity with minimal direction.

Assist with operational administrative needs that may arise as the team adapts to changing processes or systems.

Requirements

Previous experience in an administrative support or office coordination role.

Proficiency with common office technology and the ability to learn new systems quickly.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and become productive with minimal onboarding.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including courteous phone etiquette.

Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate administrative records.

Comfortable managing front-desk or receptionist-style responsibilities in an office setting.
