The Supply Chain Engineer supports end-to-end material flow by managing dealer issue intake, coordinating logistics activities, and driving continuous improvement across inbound and outbound operations. This role collects and triages dealer feedback, escalates issues to key project team members, and provides structured support to dealer S&OP consultants as standardized processes evolve. The position focuses on optimizing order compliance, inventory levels, and forecasting performance while ensuring efficient, cost-effective transportation and logistics solutions.
Responsibilities
Collect and centrally manage dealer issues, including developing and maintaining standardized processes for regular feedback collection.
Perform first-level triage and assessment of dealer issues to determine priority, impact, and appropriate next steps.
Coordinate structured escalation of dealer issues to key project team members and ensure clear feedback loops back to dealers.
Collaborate closely with dealer S&OP consultants to support ongoing operations as AIM processes evolve and become standard practice.
Analyze critical dealer KPIs such as order compliance, inventory levels, and forecast accuracy to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Perform activities to ensure materials are shipped, received, stored, and delivered quickly and efficiently.
Provide logistics management, analysis, and support for inbound and outbound material flow.
Apply CPS Guiding Principles to lead aggressive continuous improvement efforts in logistics and supply chain processes.
Eliminate excess inventory by optimizing material flowpaths and inventory management practices.
Manage material according to defined flowpaths to ensure efficient movement and storage.
Develop, maintain, and support transportation requirements for customers, including determining appropriate modes and carriers.
Monitor carrier performance, identify root causes of issues, and implement corrective actions to improve service levels.
Work to decrease transportation costs and reduce premium freight expenses through process improvements and carrier optimization.
Improve carrier quality, container scheduling, and container availability to support reliable operations.
Manage and support logistics activities for business units or facilities, ensuring alignment with overall supply chain objectives.
Provide support and assistance to business unit or facility teams to resolve transportation and logistics issues.
Oversee facility freight expenses, including filing carrier loss and damage claims and tracking resolution.
Monitor, analyze, and perform root cause corrective actions to resolve freight non-compliance issues.
Collaborate with internal customers such as departments and business units, suppliers, transportation carriers, import and export companies, third-party logistics providers, subassembly and kitting operations, packaging engineers, shipping and receiving personnel, product order analysts, planning and requirements personnel, and distribution center employees.
Prepare and maintain documentation, reports, and analyses related to logistics performance, freight expenses, and issue resolution.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; an associate degree with relevant experience will be considered.
2-4 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or a closely related field.
Demonstrated experience in supply chain operations, including material flow, shipping, receiving, storage, and delivery.
Ability to manage inbound and outbound logistics, including carrier selection and transportation planning.
Strong analytical skills to monitor carrier performance, freight expenses, and key performance indicators such as order compliance, inventory levels, and forecasts.
Experience applying continuous improvement principles to reduce costs, eliminate excess inventory, and enhance logistics efficiency.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting, analysis, and documentation.
Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for freight non-compliance and carrier performance issues.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with dealers, internal teams, and external logistics partners.
Organizational skills to manage multiple issues, escalations, and logistics activities simultaneously.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering is preferred.
PBI (Product Backlog Item) experience is preferred, especially in environments that use structured backlogs for process or system enhancements.
Experience working with dealer networks, S&OP processes, or KPI analysis in a supply chain @context is beneficial.
Familiarity with CPS Guiding Principles or similar continuous improvement frameworks is an advantage.
Comfort working with cross-functional teams including suppliers, logistics providers, packaging engineers, and distribution personnel.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
