Job Title: Irrigation Technician
Job Description
Join a growing property organization as an experienced Irrigation Technician, supporting residential and commercial irrigation systems across the MetroWest Boston area. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and handle seasonal service work to keep irrigation systems operating efficiently and reliably.
Responsibilities
Perform spring turn-ons and winterizations for residential and commercial irrigation systems across the MetroWest Boston area.
Troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
Install irrigation components, including sprinkler heads, valves, controllers, and drip systems.
Assist with pump installation and basic hydraulic-related tasks as they relate to irrigation systems.
Carry out routine maintenance on irrigation systems to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life.
Use appropriate tools and techniques to fit and replace irrigation system parts as needed.
Communicate professionally and clearly with customers to explain work performed, recommended repairs, and system operation.
Document work completed and report any issues or follow-up needs to the appropriate team members.
Essential Skills
Proven experience as an Irrigation Technician working with residential and commercial systems.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing irrigation systems.
Ability to perform spring start-ups and winterizations for a variety of irrigation setups.
Proficiency in installing irrigation components such as heads, valves, controllers, and drip systems.
Basic knowledge of hydraulics as it relates to irrigation system performance.
Experience in maintenance technician duties related to irrigation and water delivery systems.
Ability to assist with pump installation and related system connections.
Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to diagnosing system issues.
Professional communication skills for interacting with customers on-site.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working on both residential and commercial properties.
Comfort working independently in the field as well as collaborating with a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple service calls or projects in a day.
Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and adapt to changing job site needs.

Work Environment
This role involves a mix of outdoor and indoor work depending on the project and season. You will spend significant time on active job sites across the MetroWest Boston area, working hands-on with irrigation systems, pumps, and related equipment. The position requires comfort working in various weather conditions, moving between different properties, and using standard tools and materials for irrigation installation, repair, and maintenance.

This is a Contract position based out of Natick, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
