AI Software Engineer

Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid - onsite required)

Duration: 6+ Months Contract to Hire

Start Date: ASAP

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI Software Engineer to join a growing engineering team focused on building scalable AI-driven applications and data platforms. This is a hands-on technical role involving backend development, API engineering, cloud architecture, streaming data, and GenAI integrations.

The ideal candidate will work closely with technical leads and product owners to understand requirements, contribute to system design, develop scalable solutions, and support best engineering practices in a collaborative Agile environment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs

Build RESTful APIs using FastAPI and GraphQL APIs using Strawberry

Develop real-time data pipelines using Kafka or Event Hubs

Work with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and distributed data systems

Implement scalable data processing workflows using Spark and Delta Lake

Utilize Databricks for data engineering and ML workflows

Integrate LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Llama, or other GenAI platforms

Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architecture, design, and implementation

Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize application scalability

Required Skills

Strong experience with Python and modern web frameworks

Hands-on experience with FastAPI and GraphQL

Experience with Kafka or Event Hubs

Strong database experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB

Experience with Spark, Delta Lake, and Databricks

Experience integrating OpenAI, Llama, or other LLM APIs

Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud architecture

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Strong system design and problem-solving skills

Experience handling concurrency, multithreading, or distributed systems

Preferred Skills

Experience with LangChain

Front-end experience with React, Next.js, or JavaScript

Telecom industry experience is a plus

Work Model

Hybrid role based in Plano, TX. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite as required.
