Job Description
This entry-level Warehouse Wire Rope Assembler role focuses on fabricating, inspecting, and assembling a wide range of wire, chain, and synthetic rope products to meet strict quality standards and customer specifications. Working in a warehouse environment, you accurately identify product @types and applications used across industries such as construction, energy, mining, crane operation, space and aeronautical, and deep-sea recovery and rescue. You contribute directly to safe and reliable lifting and rigging solutions by following detailed drawings, maintaining accurate records, and upholding strong safety practices.
Responsibilities
Review and interpret drawings, blueprints, capacity tables, and order tickets to determine product specifications and requirements.
Understand and apply relevant codes and specifications as outlined on order tickets for each assembly.
Calculate wire rope cut lengths and fitting requirements to ensure accurate and efficient production.
Identify and select the appropriate equipment to produce various wire, synthetic rope, and chain assemblies.
Perform splicing of wire rope and fabricate chain slings according to customer and safety requirements.
Operate industrial swaging machines, proof testing machines, forklifts, and other industrial tools safely and effectively.
Attach proper tags and labels to finished products to ensure accurate identification and traceability.
Maintain accurate inventory records, including materials, components, and finished products.
Inspect materials and finished assemblies and promptly report any defective or substandard supplies or products.
Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including loading, unloading, picking, packing, and order picking as needed.
Maintain the work area, equipment, and tools in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
Follow all safety guidelines, including strict adherence to safety requirements, procedures, and the Stop Work policy.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas.
Assist with deliveries when needed, including loading and unloading materials at various locations.
Manage time effectively to meet production schedules and customer deadlines.
Work collaboratively in a team environment and assist co-workers with other duties as required.
Report to work at the designated start time and maintain a professional and courteous attitude.
Travel to various work sites or training sessions as required, including occasional overtime, nights, and weekends when necessary.
Essential Skills
Ability to review and interpret drawings, blueprints, and capacity tables.
Strong proficiency in basic math and reading for measurements and calculations.
Ability to accurately read a tape measure and digital micrometer.
Familiarity with industrial tools such as cutting machines, swagers, crimping tools, winches, and proof testing machines (preferred but strongly beneficial).
Ability to operate forklifts or willingness to learn safe forklift operation.
Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Persistence, energy, and reliability in completing physical and repetitive tasks.
Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
Capability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs routinely.
Clear vision (with or without corrective lenses) and precise hand-eye coordination for cutting, splicing, and attaching fittings.
Good fine motor skills to ensure accuracy and safety in assemblies.
Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, stretch, twist, crouch, and reach throughout the shift.
Ability to hear warnings and communicate effectively over industrial noise.
Willingness to strictly follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Professional and courteous communication skills and a strong team-oriented mindset.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience in construction, equipment, oil, or related industrial environments is preferred.
Experience with inventory, warehouse operations, picking, packing, order picking, material handling, pallet jacks, unloading, and warehouse inventory is an advantage.
Willingness to travel for training and to various work sites as required.
Willingness to work overtime, nights, and weekends when necessary to meet operational needs.
Ability to provide valid documentation for employment eligibility in accordance with I-9 requirements.
Commitment to maintaining a professional demeanor and representing the company positively.
Comfort working around grease, metal dust, and industrial machinery.
Ability to use core muscle groups, including stomach and lower back, to support the body for long periods without fatigue.

Work Environment
This position operates in a distribution center and warehouse environment with a focus on industrial fabrication and material handling. The role is full-time, with standard hours of Monday through Friday, totaling approximately 40 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime, nights, and weekends when operational needs require it. Work involves frequent standing, walking, bending, stretching, twisting, and crouching, as well as routine lifting of up to 75 lbs. You regularly work with industrial tools and equipment such as cutting machines, swagers, crimping tools, winches, proof testing machines, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling devices. The environment may include exposure to extreme heat or cold, especially in warehouse or outdoor construction and rigging conditions, as well as exposure to grease and metal dust. Clear vision and the ability to hear warnings over industrial sounds are important for safety. Personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel toe boots and other safety gear, is required in designated operations and production areas, and uniforms are provided. Minimal travel is expected, though occasional trips to training sessions or various work sites may be required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
