Summary About the Position: The incumbent will be assigned to the 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Supply and Services Division, at Fort Sill, OK. Responsibilities Develops and evaluates logistics and property accountability policies. Maintains full property accountability for all assigned equipment. Oversees property authorization documents and ensures equipment requirements are properly justified and submitted. Ensures compliance with the Command Supply Discipline Program. Provides oversight and guidance to assigned personnel as needed. Develops standard operating procedures and supply policies and reviews supply control systems. Conducts physical inventories and reviews hand receipt accounts for accuracy and compliance. Provides technical assistance to units on supply operations and property accountability. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Maintaining property accountability records to track non-expendable equipment; 2) Coordinating supply transactions to support equipment authorization, inventory and/or disposition requirements; AND, 3) Updating property book data in automated systems to ensure accurate accountability. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11) Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This is a Logistics Career Field position. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. Term Appointment NTE - Position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 13 months. Term appointments may be extended beyond of six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, Term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years. Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
