ALTERATION INSTALLATION TEAM COORDINATOR

Summary You will serve as an ALTERATION INSTALLATION TEAM COORDINATOR in the Ocean Engineering Department (Code 120) of PSNS and IMF. Responsibilities You will coordinate Alteration Installation Team (AIT) functions to support Temporary Alterations (TEMPALTs) to include Ships/Submarine of Opportunity (SOO), Manned Submersibles, Remotely Operational Vehicles (ROVs) and other systems. You will coordinate with Ocean Engineering Department Production and Maintenance branch heads for refurbishment and timely delivery of equipment to meet mission requirements. You will review and develop proposed engineering changes and implement approved changes in form of Technical Direction letters or other documents. You will revise work priorities and schedules to support production efforts. You will coordinate manpower and other resources to meet demands or priorities. You will coordinate the mobilization, installation, and removal of all SOO TEMPALT equipment. You will coordinate all AIT action, engineering changes, integration, mobilization, installation, removal, and logistics activities for approved TEMPALT ship sets. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading and managing Alteration Installation teams for special projects related to Ocean Engineering Programs; Experience with direct correspondence and guidance to all levels of management, engineers and technicians both verbally and written; Experience in maintaining effective communications with personnel at headquarters, directorate levels with a wide range of command, agency and private contractor personnel.
