POSITION INFORMATION: Position Title: Seasonal Laborer I Location: Boston Harbor Islands State Park(reports daily to 30 Shipyard Dr, Hingham) Start Date: ASAP End Date: 10/12/26 Number of openings: 1 Please note, if you are selected for this position and will be working less than 90 days, the position will automatically revert to a short-term position. Our short-term positions are not part of the salary scale that is advertised within this job posting. Should this position revert to a short-term seasonal position (less than 90 days), your salary rate will be discussed with you during the interview phase of the process. Salary range compensation by hours worked is determined by several factors, including experience, seniority, the agency's budget, and the nature of the role (e.g., short-term contract vs. full-time position). Job Opening: The Department of Conservation and Recreation seeks qualified applicants for Seasonal Laborer I. Salaries are based upon full-time/40 hours worked per week. This position may require working second shift, weekends and/or holidays. Schedules/Days off are at the discretion of the Supervisor. DUTIES: Seasonal Laborers perform and assist with a variety of duties in connection with conservation and maintenance work including, but not limited to, grounds and facility maintenance work including cutting grass, raking leaves, watering, painting, rubbish removal, beautification of parks, campgrounds, and reservations, beaches and facilities. May be expected to use a variety of hand tools. May operate UTVs, motor vehicles, and light trucks and assist with loading and unloading of supplies, equipment, etc. Greet and assist park visitors and provide information about the facility. Based on assignment, collect fees and may be required to possess a current and valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License. Perform other related duties as required.
