Key job responsibilities
Partner with business leaders to develop financial frameworks and models for Delivery Automation solutions, analyzing value propositions and providing insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Own financial reporting and processes for the business area, including budget management, forecasting, and performance analysis to support the team's growth objectives and business goals.
Dive deep into data to build comprehensive analyses and narratives that deliver meaningful results, translating complex financial information into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
Identify opportunities to optimize financial processes through automation and collaboration, ensuring scalability and efficiency as the business grows.
Navigate across partner organizations to build strong partnerships, share knowledge, and influence data-driven decision making while maintaining strong financial controllership.
A day in the life
Your day begins with reviewing the latest financial performance metrics for the automation initiatives and preparing for a morning meeting with the business team to discuss updates to the value proposition. You'll spend time refining financial models that quantify the impact of new automation solutions, collaborating with cross-functional partners to gather inputs and validate assumptions. Throughout the day, you'll analyze budget variances, identify optimization opportunities, and prepare recommendations for upcoming senior leadership reviews. You might also meet with Finance colleagues from related teams to align on updates and share financial insights across organizations.

This role is part of a broader Finance organization that includes Last Mile Tech, Worldwide Hub, and Financial Planning & Analysis within Amazon Delivery Finance. As the Finance partner for a newly formed business team, you'll be instrumental in shaping financial strategies that support long term innovation. Basic Qualifications
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
