Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a LVA Operations Manager. This position is ONSITE Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm at our Asheville (Arden) NC Eaton facility. Relocation assistance will also be provided, if needed.
This position is responsible for leading the Low Voltage Assemblies manufacturing team in achieving quality, cost, delivery and employee safety goals. Manages the Customer Order Manufacturing functions of the Low Voltage Assemblies product line to achieve Sales Billed and Operating Profit objectives. Operations must convert specific product designs into finished products that meet customer order requirements, product quality standards, and information/product delivery commitments.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $146000 - $215000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
In this role:
A. Establish operations strategic direction for product line considering the key business drivers of Customer Satisfaction, Growth and Innovation, Profitability and Asset Management, Perfect Quality and Excellence Through People.
B. Develop action plans and objectives from the operations strategic plan. Cascade objectives throughout entire work force.
C. Responsible for deployment of MESH to support a Zero Incident Culture.
D. Ensure required documentation and/or system transactions are executed to meet customer, manufacturing system and financial reporting requirements.
E. Plan and monitor key metrics to ensure quality, cost, delivery and safety requirements are met.
F. Co-ordinate manufacturing schedules and priorities within the production plan to satisfy customer requirements.
G. Control in-process inventory to achieve production requirements with minimum impact on inventory levels.
H. Direct application of capital and people resources to maximize operating efficiency.
I. Facilitate problem-solving and corrective action for production issues.
J. Monitor performance to objectives, implementing responsive tactical changes as required.
K. Foster a relationship of teamwork throughout the operations of the plant.
L. Promote continuous improvement throughout the organization to reduce total cycle time.
M. Encourage innovative approaches to organization improvement.
N. Select and develop a staff to manage the product line.
O. Administer the Performance Management Process for the product line.
P. Establish and monitor safety and housekeeping standards.
Q. Administer plants Human Resources policies and guidelines.
R. Utilize Continuous Improvement Framework to drive CI initiatives throughout the LVA value stream including; Daily Accountability, Standard Work, Gemba Walks, etc.
S. Other duties, projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Basic REQUIRED Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial management/technology, or business related field from an accredited institution.
Minimum ten (10) years manufacturing/operations experience.
Must be willing to relocate to Asheville (Arden) NC. Relocation assistance will be provided, if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution
Knowledge of Low Voltage Assemblies products.
Engineer to order experience
Six Sigma Certification or significant Lean Manufacturing experience.

Skills:
Position requires working knowledge of current manufacturing, engineering, materials/purchasing and quality assurance methods and practices. A thorough understanding of financial practices and financial statements is required. Administrative knowledge is required in information systems, human resources and in controlling key projects and plant initiatives.
