Job Summary:
The RF Engineer I works under immediate supervision and uses established procedures to perform engineering duties in researching, planning, designing, and developing products for use in the Electronics Space marketplace. The RF Engineer I works on new product designs and existing product designs, modernization, and upgrades, as well as performs extensive analyses to ensure cost, quality, and customer requirements are met. Working within a collaborative Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment the Electrical Engineer I uses analytical thinking and innovation to ensure customer goals are met.
Essential Functions:
Work under close supervision to gain hands-on experience researching, planning, designing, and developing products for Defense and Space applications.
Assist with new product designs and modernization of existing designs to meet cost, quality, and customer requirements.
Support end-to-end systems analysis and contribute to the design of RF and mixed-signal communications hardware.
Help with system integration and testing activities to verify product performance.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet customer, manufacturing, and internal standards.
Contribute to the development of test procedures and help ensure product designs comply with internal and external requirements.
Minimum Qualifications :
0-3 years of relevant work experience
Completed courses in Electromagnetics, RF & Microwave circuits, Analog, and Mixed-signal circuit design.
Knowledge of Signal processing and Communications is desired but not a requirement.
Knowledge of simulation tools like Microwave office / ADS / HFSS is desired but not a requirement.
Some hands-on experience handling RF equipment in the lab desired.
Education/Certification: B.S. / M.S. (Preferable) in Electrical Engineering
Eligibility Requirement: This position requires access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Applicants selected could be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
