OVERVIEW

The Staff Accountant will possess an in-depth understanding of accounting principles. Assist in month-end and year-end close. The Staff Account must be detail oriented, excellent at oral and written communication, accurate, and keen to develop a broad understanding of the business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with Purchasing, Payables and Receiving functions

Assist with the development and improvement of processes

Assist in the monthly close process including quarterly and year-end procedures

Assist with financial audits and tax requests

Prepare and design ad hoc reports and analyses, as required

Participate in projects, group initiatives, implementations, and system upgrades

Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience preferred

0-3 years of accounting experience

Knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and internal controls

ERP experience (MS Dynamics preferred)

Intermediate Excel skills and other Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Power Point, and others)

Desired Skills

Strong analytical, logic and problem-solving skills with sound judgement

Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred but not required

A self-starter / self-motivated who is eager to learn, work independently with minimal supervision

Ability to work collaboratively across departments with a focus on teamwork and continuous improvement

Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships

Strong interpersonal skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interpret/communicate results

Highly organized, detail oriented with ability to multitask and prioritize activities

LOCATION:

Hybrid role: 3 days on-site in Belle Glade, FL and the option of 2 days remote
