Lead Software Engineer I- Golden, CO
Allegion is looking for a passionate Lead Software Engineer to work as part of a highly engaged small team in Colorado, within a global organization of 12,000+ employees, representing 30+ brands (including Schlage, Von Duprin and LCN) focused on safety, security and access management. You'll work on solutions that will enable seamless access and help keep you and your loved ones safe and secure where they work, live and thrive.
What you'll do :
Provide technical direction and leadership to the software development team.
Define and enforce coding standards, architectureguidelinesand development best practices.
Work with the Systems Engineer and Architect to lead the design and development of software solutions, ensuring scalability,performanceand security.
Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Works with Product and the development team to estimate initiatives as part of our development process.
Mentor and support team members in their professional growth and technical skills development.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and knowledge sharing.
Work with Platform Managerand Product Managerto plan, prioritize and manage development tasks to meet project deadlines.
Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues and propose solutions when necessary.
Analyzes, designs, develops,modifies, writes,editsand implements software programming applications.
Analyzes and defines software requirements todeterminespecifications and standards.
Proposes software solutions.
Determinesthe cost of new and modified systems and engages in the proposal process.
Develops, designs, and edits original applications ormodifiesthird-party applications.
May specialize in one or more areas of development,e.g.front end, back end.

What you need to succeed :
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in years of relevant work experience.
10+ years of software development experiencewith at least 1-2 years in a leadership role.
Expertin Java,React. Golanghelpful.
Experience with cloud platforms e.g., AWS
Strong understanding of software architecture, designpatternsand best practices.
Passionate about quality, scalable,well-builtand easy-to-use applications.
Excellent problem-solving,communicationand interpersonal skills.
Experience with Agile-scrum development processes and methodologies.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience deploying productsleveragingthese methodologies.
Team player with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and goals

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
The expectedBase Salary Range:$154,450-$205,000.The actual compensation will bedeterminedbased on experience and other factorspermittedby law.
