A Snapshot of Your Day
This is a high-visibility, business critical engineering role at the core of the Siemens Energy 8000H large gas turbine program. As the Frame Integration Specialist within the global Product Engineering team, you'll own the technical backbone of turbine frame systems driving designs that safeguard performance, reliability, and long-term product success. Positioned in R&D, this role isn't about incremental tweaks; it's about leading the toughest design challenges and setting the technical direction for a flagship platform.
You'll operate as a true subject-matter authority integrating advanced components, leading complex cross-functional projects, and owning lifecycle and quality outcomes end-to-end. This role is built for an expert mechanical engineer with deep industrial equipment experience, sharp analytical instincts, and the confidence to lead at scale. If you're motivated by real accountability, real influence, and engineering work that truly matters, this role delivers.
How You'll Make an Impact
50% Frame Component Design & Integration
Lead design and development of complex mechanical frame components and assemblies for the Siemens Energy 8000H gas turbine using advanced engineering principles.
Conduct tolerance analysis, mathematical modeling, and simulations to validate the feasibility, performance, and manufacturability of new or modified designs.
Ensure all designs meet customer technical specifications, internal quality standards, and manufacturing cost requirements.
30% Technical Project Leadership & Collaboration
Coach, review, and delegate work to lower-level engineering professionals, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
Serve as the subject matter expert for frame integration, collaborating with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, supply chain, and service.
Influence design decisions and resolve complex technical problems through investigation and analytical reasoning.
20% Quality Assurance & Lifecycle Management
Implement and oversee quality assurance processes, including Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) to mitigate risks.
Define and manage test plans for proto@types and new components, supporting fabrication, assembly, and validation activities.
Manage the product lifecycle for frame components, from initial requirements gathering through to end-of-life.
Drive continuous process improvement initiatives within the product design and development workflow.
