Weston & Sampson has an immediate opening for a Geotechnical Project Manager with 8+ years of experience in our Waterbury, VT office. The candidate must have comprehensive experience with geotechnical analyses including slope stability, settlement, and soil/structure interaction, development of appropriate foundation and site-related geotechnical recommendations, and report preparation. Field experience associated with subsurface investigations and earthwork construction is required. Experience with dams preferred.

What youll do:

Responsible for project management; preparation of proposals,

complex technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings.

Some travel will be required to client meetings and project sites.

What youll bring:

MS with concentration in Geotechnical Engineering.

Minimum 8 years of diverse and proven geotechnical experience.

Experience with CAD, dam safety engineering, seepage analyses, and

hydrologic/hydraulic modeling related to dams is a plus

Familiar with geotechnical aspects of Building Codes and Design

Manuals.

Strong construction experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

Must be motivated, responsible, and able to work independently.

PE certification is required.
