Will collaborate with CAD resources domestically and internationally. Responsible for supporting standards and processes compatible throughout all functions and regions. This position requires a technical background that can easily adapt and function within required systems and processes. Role will support regional documentation of processes, standards, and training materials. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Complete CAD design work using CREO, Windchill, and design intent with a fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes. Analyze designs and make recommendations for changes, modifications, or cost reductions. Utilize engineering best practices and practical problem-solving involving design, fabrication, validation, systems, and processes. Effectively communicate, support, and contribute information and best practices cross-functionally and cross-culturally with local and global teams. Support genset conceptual, development, and production builds through a gated engineering release process. Continually strive and identify process and CAD standards improvements. Makes appropriate decisions using decision support tools and critical thinking including risk/reward ratios and critical pathing. Take ownership and accountability of both individual work and work completed as part of a team. Build business relationships and trust, and engagement amongst teams.
