Summary You will serve as a LEAD POLICE OFFICER in the Force Protection Operations Department of NAS WHIDBEY ISLAND SEC DET. Responsibilities You will ensure employees are in compliance with shift requirements. You will monitor work conditions. You will provide information to supervisor as requested concerning promotions, reassignment, recognition of outstanding performance, and personnel needs. You will distribute and balance workload and rotations among police officers. You will secure crime scenes for evidence collection. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing advanced aspects of law enforcement, antiterrorism, and physical security functions at military installations requiring use and deployment of specialized or advanced techniques, equipment, knowledge or training. Experience documenting law enforcement and security events and issuing citations. Experience conducting internal and/or external investigations, inquiries or audits related to security matters where neglect, action, or inaction could cause an adverse effect on the installation's security; AND Experience with interviewing techniques, taking statements from victims, suspects, and witnesses in compliance within applicable laws.
