Description We are looking for an experienced and dependable Admin/Accounting Clerk to support daily front office and clerical accounting operations for a retail-focused business in Monterey, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing customer-facing administrative work with detail-oriented financial support in a busy office setting. The role calls for strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while providing a welcoming experience for visitors and tenants.

Responsibilities:

Welcome visitors, guests, and tenants at the front desk while delivering courteous and attentive service.

Provide day-to-day administrative support, including handling correspondence, managing office tasks, and maintaining smooth front office operations.

Assist with basic accounting activities such as invoice handling, account support, and accurate data entry.

Use QuickBooks to help maintain financial records and support routine bookkeeping functions.

Organize, sort, and remove outdated files to improve record accuracy and office efficiency.

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes by preparing documentation and helping track transactions.

Respond to tenant and guest account-related questions and direct issues appropriately.

Contribute to general office workflow by shifting between reception, clerical, and accounting support duties as needed. Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in an administrative, clerical, receptionist, or accounting support role.

Previous experience in a front desk or customer-facing office environment.

Familiarity with QuickBooks or the ability to learn accounting software quickly.

Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice processing, and data entry.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage filing, records, and multiple assignments efficiently.

Strong communication skills and a service-oriented demeanor.

Ability to work independently, remain dependable, and handle tasks with minimal supervision.
